Aloo masala Cheese Dosa

Dosa is a perfect healthy and filling breakfast or even as a snacks.You can always keep some dosa batter ready and handy in a refigerator,so whenever required you can some quick dosa or idlis for your family.Normally,my kids don’t like idli’s, they like dosa.But I was quiet fed up of making same dosa for them like oats ,bread and plain dosa.So today, I thought of giving a twist to our normal dosa and tried this aloo masala dosa loaded with full cheese. It really turned out good and yummy , they just couldn’t stop eating.
I was quiet happy with my experiments as i also tried making cheesy sandwich dosa and maggie cheese dosa.

Preparation time : 10 mins
cooking time : 5 mins
Serves : 2

Ingredients

For Aloo bhaji/Sabzi:

2 tsp oil
½ tsp mustard seeds
½ tsp jeera / cumin
pinch of hing / asafoetida
½ onion, finely chopped
1 inch ginger, finely chopped
1 green chilli, finely chopped
½ tsp turmeric / haldi
salt to taste
2 potato, boiled & peeled
¼ cup water, adjust consistency
2 tbsp coriander leaves, finely chopped
1 tbsp lemon juice

For Aloo masala dosa

1 bowl dosa batter / rice /rava/oats/any dosa batter
prepared aloo bhaji/sabzi
2 tsp green chutney / mint chutney / sandwich chutney
¼ cup grated cheese, like cheddar or any other melting cheese
oil as required
salt as required

Directions || How to make Aloo masala cheese Dosa

Take a pan and prepare aloo bhaji or sabzi using your method.
Add dosa to the set dosa batter and mix well.
Heat griddle or dosa pan/tava , sprinkle some water and wipe it off gently using a tissue(this helps to remove dosa quicklyavoiding to stick)
Pour a ladleful of the batter on griddle and spread the batter gently in circular motion.
Spread some butter over it , allow it to melt over dosa
Now spread prepared aloo masala all over the dosa.
Spread green chutney on top of the masala and spred it evenly.
now sprinkle some pepper powder.
sprinkle shredded cheese all over the dosa.
Lastly roll the dosa and slightly press uniformly so that it gets sticked.
Flip the other side and cook for a minute so that cheese melts.
Serve hot with any peanut or coconut or tomato chutney or even ketchup.

Aloo Poha Roll

Aloo poha roll with cheese stuffing 🙂

Ingredients

Poha
Potato(grated)
Cheese
Lemon
Coriander
Green Chilli(crushed)
Red chilli powder
Everest garam masala
Salt
Corn flour
Oil (for frying)

Directions || How to prepare Aloo Poha Roll

1) Soak poha in water and strain it out.

2). Boil potatoes and grate them.

3). Mix soaked poha and grated potato in a bowl.

4). Add all the masala, coriander,lemon, green chilli.

5). Mix all these ingredients properly and form balls from this mixture.

6). Dice the cheese into small cubes. Put 2-3 such tiny cubes in centre of each ball of the mixture.

7). Form proper ball again and see to it that cheese doesnt come out.

8). Take corn flour in a bowl and put the balls in it, take them out such that balls are equally covered with it.This makes balls crisp.

9). Fry them in oil and enjoy! On frying, the cheese cubes placed in the balls will melt and when you cut the ball in half, it becomes delight for cheese lovers😋

Can be served with tomato ketchup, green chutney or anything you like!

Garlic Cheese Toast Bread

Sharing this Garlic cheese toast recipe for all you folks who wants to prepare something yummy yet quick and easy breakfast or brunch or even as snacks.Turn your regular bread into this cheesy delicious dish. This recipe also serves as a great snacks for kids at school.

Ingredients

6 Whole wheat Bread
1 cup parmesan cheese or Shredded Cheese
1/2 cup finely chopped Tomatoes
1/2 cup of finely crushed garlic

1/2 cup Coriander leaves
2 chopped green chillies
1/2 teaspoon Salt or as per taste
1/2 teaspoon Red Chilly Powder

How to prepare || Garlic Cheese Toast Bread

Take 1 cup of Parmesan cheese or shredded cheese in to a mixing bowl.
To that add grated garlic, tomatoes, coriander leaves ,green chillies and mix well
Now add salt and red chilli powder and mix well.
Take bread slices and toast in to a toaster till it gets very light golden color.
Now put the mixture over toasted bread and spread that out evenly.
Meantime pre heat oven to 350 degree Fahrenheit
Arrange bread on to a baking tray and bake for 10-15 mts.
Serve chessy garlic bread hot !!

Rava Cheese Balls

DSC_6386Looking out for a simple quick and easy starters/snacks here you go Suji/Rava Cheese balls makes a great starter recipe and will be loved by all age groups. As its a Ramadan month many of you must be looking out for a new appetizers as well as planning for any iftaari party , you can surely try this out at home.
I got this recipe from one of my friend when we had a potluck lunch in office and trust me they were amazing . I just loved it and wanted to try it from quite a long time at home.
So try this crunchy soft centered cheese balls with a combination of rava/suji. Please check the step by step recipe of rava cheese balls.

Ingredients

2 tbsp butter
2 1/2 tbsp all purpose flour (maida)
1/2 cup milk
3/4 cup rava(roasted)
1/3 cup processed cheese
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
1/4 cup finely chopped coriander
salt to taste

oil for deep-frying

To Be Mixed Into A Batter
1 cup plain flour (maida)
3/4 cup water
Heat the butter in a deep non-stick pan, add the milk and allow it to boil well .

Now add the rava in the hot milk and allow to simmer till the mixture thickens and leaves the sides of the pan, while stirring continuously.IMG_7996

IMG_7998IMG_7999Remove from the flame and add ginger garlic paste ,coriander, red chilli powder ,
grated processed cheese (I used cheese spread as i couldn’t arrange any cheese cubes) and finally salt. Allow it to cool completely.

Once cooled, mix well and divide the mixture into 15 equal portions and shape each into a round ball.Dip a few balls at a time in the flour-water mixture till they are evenly coated from all the sides.

I like to make my cake pops from scratch, they taste so much better but this time I used ready cake mix to save some time and and prepared homemade butter cream icing.For the coating I usually use white chocolate and food coloring,

It’s soon going to be that lovely time of hugging everyone wishing “Eid Mubarak” .During this occasion we never forget to take “Eiddi” (earnings) from elders neither we can resists yummy delicious beautiful tempting sheer Kurma. At my childhood I would go to my muslim friends home and finish bowls and bowls of Sheer kurma. After marrying into a muslim family, I realised that while Eid is much more than sevaiyan; it is incomplete without it. Right in the morning
we make a huge pot of Sheer Kurma to be served all day to our neighbors ,friends and guest visiting home to wish us.

Sheer kurma or Sheer khorma (Persian: ??? ??????), literally “milk with dates” in Persian.During my first Eid after marriage, my younger sister my law taught me how to make the true Sheer Kurma 🙂 Ever since then I always wanted to share this recipe with you all but finally this year I could come up with it.

Pakora (Fritter)or Bhajji’s is a famous recipe for Iftar and Ramadan. Pakoras are made in 90% homes at the time of iftar.Pakoray is a very tasty, light weight, and light saltish snack which taste good with tomato ketchup, raita or chutney.

I try to make different pakoras every time , sometimes aloo (potato)pakora, sometimes pyaz(onions) pakora and sometimes palak pakora.This is the first time, i tried this mix dal pakoras. I’m sharing with all this delicious and yummy mix dal pakora.

This is one of the most favorite pakora or you can say bhajji and there are so many sweet childhood memories attached to it. We normally prepare wet chutneys with fresh grated coconut as the base with different ingredients. But in this recipe she used peanut as a base ingredient mixed with green chillies ,cook along with onions. This is so yumm chutney that I can bet you will tempt to prepare it again and again 🙂

Sev Puri is another famous chaat snack from the lands of Mumbai. You can either prepare Dahi Sev batata puri those are prepared with round puri with masala stuffed in it or you can make it with flat puri.
