It gets very very tough and stressful to make your kids eat healthy especially for those fussy and picky eaters. I have gone through this pain all these 8 years as my elder daughter is one of them. So to make my life little easier , I used some tricks or some creative food art to attract her to finish her meals.
I am sharing these creative recipes for kids with you all . They look so good that most children will be tempted to give them a go. It might be an extra efforts for the mom’s but trust me I am sure you will be happy to see the end results of it.So do try these recipes with me and share me your experiences . Dosa is a perfect healthy and filling breakfast or even as a snacks.You can always keep some dosa batter ready and handy in a refrigerator,so whenever required you can some quick dosa or idlis for your family.Normally,my kids don’t like idli’s, they like dosa.But I was quiet fed up of making same dosa for them like oats ,bread and plain dosa.So today, I thought of giving a twist to our normal dosa and made dosa by adding some maggi masala noodles filling loaded with full cheese. This Maggi cheesy dosa is delicious and has an amazing aroma.
It really turned out good and yummy , they just couldn’t stop eating. I was quiet happy with my experiments as i also tried making cheesy sandwich dosa and aloo masala cheese dosa.
Sev Puri is another famous chaat snack from the lands of Mumbai. You can either prepare Dahi Sev batata puri those are prepared with round puri with masala stuffed in it or you can make it with flat puri.
I gave this recipe a little twist , a new form of having these puris so that the kids would just won’t resist it , yes the innovative Sev Puris Burgers
This recipe is absolutely simple to make if you have your puris, sev and chutney ready.

Omelette is one of the tastiest ,quickest and the most yummiest dish for breakfast with toasted bread slices.
The traditional Indian omlette with the least minimal ingredients is famous world wide. I have given a slight twist in this recipe by combining the omlette and bread and giving it a shape of a boat 🙂 My kids attacked the boat and finished it off within a sec 🙂
My kids just loved it with some tomato ketchup. You can also roll this omlette in chapati which will served as a light lunch or a perfect dinner.Read full recipe..

To make it more healthier option these can be baked instead of deep frying.You can also prepared all purpose flour(maida) and wheat (atta) ki roti if you fail to arrange any Pita bread.

Looking out for a simple quick and easy starters/snacks here you go Suji/Rava Cheese balls makes a great starter recipe and will be loved by all age groups. As its a Ramadan month many of you must be looking out for a new appetizers as well as planning for any iftaari party , you can surely try this out at home.
I got this recipe from one of my friend when we had a potluck lunch in office and trust me they were amazing . I just loved it and wanted to try it from quite a long time at home.
So try this crunchy soft centered cheese balls with a combination of rava/suji. Please check the step by step recipe of rava cheese balls.

Ingredients
2 tbsp butter
2 1/2 tbsp all purpose flour (maida)
1/2 cup milk
3/4 cup rava(roasted)
1/3 cup processed cheese
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
1/4 cup finely chopped coriander
salt to taste
oil for deep-frying
To Be Mixed Into A Batter
1 cup plain flour (maida)
3/4 cup water
Heat the butter in a deep non-stick pan, add the milk and allow it to boil well .
Now add the rava in the hot milk and allow to simmer till the mixture thickens and leaves the sides of the pan, while stirring continuously.
Remove from the flame and add ginger garlic paste ,coriander, red chilli powder ,
grated processed cheese (I used cheese spread as i couldn’t arrange any cheese cubes) and finally salt. Allow it to cool completely.
Once cooled, mix well and divide the mixture into 15 equal portions and shape each into a round ball.Dip a few balls at a time in the flour-water mixture till they are evenly coated from all the sides.
Heat the oil in a kadhai and deep-fry the balls a few at time on a medium flame till they are golden brown in colour from all the sides.
Drain on absorbent paper.
Serve immediately with tomato ketchup or any sauce of your choice.
These chicken kebabs made with noodles, chicken and potato go as an excellent dish for Iftari party or a starters. I am sure your guest will be quite impressed by this dish. Especially our junior guest kids love to eat such different and wonderful tasted food. This recipe was first introduce to me after my marriage by my in laws during Ramadan month and I was quite amazed as it tasted yummm !!!
