Aloo Poha Roll

Aloo poha roll with cheese stuffing 🙂

Ingredients

Poha
Potato(grated)
Cheese
Lemon
Coriander
Green Chilli(crushed)
Red chilli powder
Everest garam masala
Salt
Corn flour
Oil (for frying)

Directions || How to prepare Aloo Poha Roll

1) Soak poha in water and strain it out.

2). Boil potatoes and grate them.

3). Mix soaked poha and grated potato in a bowl.

4). Add all the masala, coriander,lemon, green chilli.

5). Mix all these ingredients properly and form balls from this mixture.

6). Dice the cheese into small cubes. Put 2-3 such tiny cubes in centre of each ball of the mixture.

7). Form proper ball again and see to it that cheese doesnt come out.

8). Take corn flour in a bowl and put the balls in it, take them out such that balls are equally covered with it.This makes balls crisp.

9). Fry them in oil and enjoy! On frying, the cheese cubes placed in the balls will melt and when you cut the ball in half, it becomes delight for cheese lovers😋

Can be served with tomato ketchup, green chutney or anything you like!

It gets very very tough and stressful to make your kids  eat healthy especially for those fussy and picky eaters. I have gone through this pain all these 8 years as my elder daughter is one of them. So to make my life little easier , I used some tricks or some creative food art to attract her to finish her meals.

I am sharing these creative recipes for kids with you all . They look so good that most children will be tempted to give them a go. It might be an extra efforts for the mom’s but trust me  I am sure you will be happy to see the end results of it.So do try these recipes with me and share me your experiences .  Cheesy Potato Nuggets Tree

Potato Nuggets are yummy little bites which can be eaten as snack at any time of the day.

Filled with cheese makes it an amazing delicious cheesy bites which melts in the mouth.
They are great party starters especially for kids party.
You can prepared them in advance and refrigerated for a day or two and use it when required.

Falafel Rocks

Falafel made using chickpeas is a popular Middle Eastern chick pea patty. Falafel is stuffed in pita bread with salad and sauce. Falafel is quite popular as a replacement to meat and its high in protein.This is the based snacks across the world and my kids most favorite dish.

Trust me try this recipe at home and you never know you might get the full marks and a pat on your back as well:) Its very very simple and healthier too.
To make it more healthier option these can be baked instead of deep frying.You can also prepared all purpose flour(maida) and wheat (atta) ki roti if you fail to arrange any Pita bread.

Egg Bhurji is nothing but a Indian scrambled eggs, its one of the favorite breakfast for kids.This recipe is super easy to prepare but I added just a twist to it by including some veggie like broccoli to make it more healthier. Instant healthy Oats Dosa

Instant Healthy Oats Dosa is the quick instant oats dosa as it requires no fermentation. This dosa is made with oats, rice flour and rawa/sooji and curd.All these ingredients are great source of complete protein,vitamins and oats being low in fat serves as a great healthy option of your family.Oats dosa goes well with coconut chutney , sambar or even ketchup.

Cook Time 20 minutes
Servings 8 to 10 dosas

Ingredients

1 cup cooking oats
1/2 cup rice flour
1/2 cup rava/sooji/semolina
3/4 cup fresh dahi
1 to 2 cups water or as required
salt as required
oil for cooking

Direction || How to prepare Instant Healthy oats Dosa

Add 1 cup of cooking oats in a blender and grind it to a fine flour.
In a mixing bowl , add fine oats flour , rice flour , rava/sooji/semolina , fresh curd and salt and mix it well.
Add 1/4 cup and add more water and stir and mix it well to get the right smooth consistency of the batter without any lumps.
The consistency should be thin and flowing like rice dosa batter.
Heat a tawa.Pour a laddle full of batter. Spread it in circular direction to make it to thin dosa.
Once the base becomes crisp and golden, flip and cook the other side.
Serve these instant oats dosas with coconut chutney, veg sambar or ketchup.

Ingredients:

6 white bread slices-edges cut off

butter to spread over the bread
2 cheese slices
3-4 lettuce leaves
2 Tbsp mayonnaise
green chutney to spread over the bread
1 tsp black pepper powder

For chicken Kheema

1 bowl of minced chicken (Kheema)
1 tsp Red chilli Powder
1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
salt as per taste
Oil to cook

How to prepare || Chicken Kheema Club Sandwich

To prepare chicken Kheema

Pour oil to a pan and heat it.Add minced chicken/kheema chicken to the pan.

Add ginger garlic paste and fry until the raw smell goes off.
Add salt and chili powder to it.

Cover and cook till the Kheema is well cooked in its own moisture.

To prepare Sandwich

Mixed Mayonnaise with black pepper powder to make a mayonnaise sauce.

Step 1 : Top first slice of toast with butter, a spoon of keema mixture , Mayonnaise sauce and lettuce leaves.

Chicken Noodle kebabs

IMG_8136Noodle Chicken kebabs one of my favorite appetizer as this kebab brings a new variety and a yummy twist in kebab category which is nothing but noodles.These chicken  kebabs made with noodles, chicken and potato go as an excellent dish for Iftari party or a starters. I am sure your guest will be quite impressed by this dish. Especially our junior guest kids love to eat such different and wonderful tasted food. This recipe was first introduce to me after my marriage by my in laws during Ramadan month and I was quite amazed as it tasted yummm !!!
Try this for sure , as its very simple easy and quick recipe as well as it tastes delicious !!!

Preparation time :20 mins
Cooking time :10 mins
Serves : 4

Ingredients

1 Hakka noodles medium size packet
3 medium size potato boiled
250 gm boiled chicken shredded
1 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp garam masala powder.

1 tsp ginger garlic paste
1 tsp soya sauce
1 tsp vinegar
1 egg for coating
Salt- as needed
Oil for cooking

Directions || How to prepare Noodle chicken kebabs

Boil the noodles in required water.Meantime keep the boil potatoes ready.

Take the boiled noodles,in a wide mouthed bowl and mix boil mash potato as well as boiled shredded chicken
and add all the other ingredients red chilli powder , garam masala powder ,ginger garlic paste , soya sauce , vinegar and salt.

Mix them well to prepare a soft dough. Do not add a single drop of water to it.

Make small even sized balls and pat it to make a small circle shape kebab.

Dip a few balls at a time in the whisked egg till they are evenly coated from all the sides.

Heat the oil in a kadhai and deep-fry the kebabs a few at time on a medium flame till they are golden brown in colour from all the sides.

Drain on absorbent paper.
