Boondi raita (quick and easy yogurt dip)
Raita is a condiment from the Indian subcontinent, mostly an integral part of North Indian cuisine.
In western cuisine raita is mostly called as a side dish or dip, or a cooked salad.
Boondi is a Rajasthani snack food made from fried chickpea flour.
Boondi dipped in curd is know as boondi raita which is a simple and easy dish served with paratha or pulao.

Ingredients
1 cup boondi plain Boondi
1 1/2 cups Curd chilled
1/2 Red chili powder
1/2 Roasted cumin powder
Salt to taste
few Coriander leaves, finely chopped for garnishing
Direction || How to prepare Boondi Raita
First warm water in a pan on stove.
Add boondi in a warm water and let it soak for 9 – 10 mins.
Drain this water and lightly press boondi in palms to squeeze out the excess water,be sure you don’t mash them
In a bowl, whisk the curd/yogurt till smooth,
Add boondi,1/2 tsp red chili powder, 1/2 tsp roasted cumin powder and salt and mix well.
Garnish with chopped coriander leaves. Serve chilled with paratha, pulao or biryani.
Avocado Guacamole
Guacamole is an avocado-based dip or salad first created by the Aztecs in what is now Mexico.
Guacamole is very famous modern Mexican cuisine, it has also become part of American cuisine as a dip, condiment and salad ingredient.
In English, the fruit Avocado was first described as an “Avagato pear” because of its pear-like shape.
It must have various names,but in Hindi it’s called ‘MakhanPhal’:) Avocado is Incredibly Nutritious
and hence I prefer preparing this dish especially for my kids once a week. Do try this yummy mind blowing guacamole at home.

Ingredients
2 ripe avocados
1/4 lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
1/2 cup finely chopped tomatoes
few chopped fresh cilantro

Cut the avocados into half , discard the seed out.
In a medium bowl, mash together the avocados, lime juice, and salt.
Mix in onion, tomatoes and cilantro.
Refrigerate 1 hour for best flavor, or serve immediately.
You can serve it with nachos or any chips of your choice
you can also serve it as a side dish.
Tips :
The trick to making perfect guacamole is using good, ripe avocados.
Check for ripeness by gently pressing the outside of the avocado.
If the avocado is not ripe , it will be difficult to mash the avocado and guacamole will not taste that goodDio
Hummus (chickpea chutney)
Hummus is a middle eastern invention(or you can say chickpea chutney in India) , its a most popular dip made from cooked, mashed chickpeas.Hummus makes wonderful with snacks or appetizer,
it can be serve with warm pita bread or on sandwiches.
Usually with chickpeas , I end up making punjabi chole.After trying it with falafel once , I decided to try this dip at home.
Trust me if you have never had hummus or don’t know what it is… try this simple recipe at home and I bet you would simply love it.

Ingredients
2 cups chickpeas boiled.
1 clove garlic, chopped
4 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons tahini(Sesame seed paste)
black pepper and salt to taste
2 tablespoons olive oil
Directions || How to prepare hummus
In a blender, add lemon juice, tahini, chopped garlic and salt in blender. Blend until creamy and well mixed.
Transfer the mixture to a medium serving bowl.
Sprinkle with pepper and pour olive oil over the top.
