Oats Apple Porridge_Lapasi
Oats apple porridge is one more great baby food for your baby to be introduced at the age of 6 – 8 months
Oats is a whole-grain food which is rich in fiber ,its contains more soluble fiber than any other grain and
its works good on your digestive systems and hence prevents constipation.If you follow vegetarian diet , its the
best food for your baby as its equivalent to meat , milk and egg protein
Oats is one of the best nutritious food for your baby.
Apples can be started when baby turns 6 months old. Apples are highly recommended at this stage at its
good to avoid constipation and diarrhea’s. Apples are rich in dietary fiber ,apple is good to treat cough
and not to forget it apple is very good to solve dental problems.
So combining both the ingredients together , oats and apple porridge makes the best healthy morning
breakfast or snacks to keep your baby active for the rest of the day.

For oats powder
1/2 cup quick cooking oats
1 tsp Ghee
2 tbsp oats powder
1 quarter of an apple
¼ cup + ¼ cup water
sugar as per taste
Directions || To prepare oats powder
Add 1/2 cup of cooking oats to a blender.
Blend it to a fine powder.
Store it in a airtight container.
Always keep oats powder ready,its very handy to prepare quick baby and kids food.

Heat a sauce pan and add ghee in it.
Add oats powder to it and mix it well with ghee
Next add 1/4 cup of water or up to desire consistency.
Once oats is cooked well ,add grated apple in the mixture.
Add 1/4 cup of water to it.
Make sure that there are no lumps formed. Cook the porridge in medium flame until everything cooked completely.
The porridge becomes thick after cooling down.So make sure you are turning off the flame at the right time.
Add sugar to it if you want to sweeten it else you can feed the baby directly , serve it lukewarm.
Sterilize the bowls and spoons used for feeding your baby in a vessel with hot water for five minutes and keep it immersed in the same vessel until use.
Boil cows milk if using in a vessel before using.
Try to use breast milk (for babies under one year )
